East Lake Expression Engine is an after-school and summer music program that seeks to develop the creativity, discipline, problem solving skills, social skills, and spiritual maturity of its students through musical instruction and collaboration in a gospel-centered environment.
Bring Expression Engine to Your Church!
-To offer a condensed Expression Engine style program as a week long full day camp
-To give students a holistic introduction to musical skills through participating in choir, bucket band, musicianship classes, and a composition project
-To give the students the musical and social skills needed to present a concert at the end of one week
-To give students the opportunity to participate in worship, devotional studies and discussion
-To bring in guest teaching artists who will teach, create music with, and perform with the students
-To create a short piece of music written by the students, expressing their musical ideas on the subject of God’s love in the face of fear
-To share students’ work with their parents, church or YMCA camp, and their greater community
-To participate in a collaborative large performance with other Expression Engine camp sites and Expression Engine students
